Today is National Michigan Day. This is an old school selfie of yours truly. Camera on tripod, set timer. Milky Way, Northern Lights, Lake Superior and me in the Upper Peninsula.

The beauty of the state I was born, raised and still live in is astounding at times. From the lush forests to the vastness of the fresh water that surrounds us and we are never far away from a pond or a river.
Lake Superior is majestic. And one of the important connectors between our countries. It seems so obvious to me that we should protect and preserve our communities and natural spaces together.

I’m from the UK but my Dad lives in Harbor Springs.
I last visited in July 2024, these were some iPhone shots of Lake Michigan, Round Lake and an Earl Young Mushroom House in Charlevoix.
On the pier in Grand Haven. Went for our summer vacation 2024.
Was our end of evening ritual to get an ice cream from the peddler then walk to the end of the pier to the lighthouse to watch the sunset. Beautiful pictures.
