Made me sick to see the fire chief nearly chased off the microphone to get the police chief talking. After the police chief’s speech he conceded there wasn’t looting. The house I grew up in, my grandmas ended up two blocks from the fire front, I couldn’t reach her, and I want to hear about looting??

Conventional wisdom is that there is always looting during natural disasters but the actual facts show looting is rare to nonexistent in such cases.

I think during disasters officials should simply nationalize all provisioning - food, shelter, etc. And this would redirect police to organize appropriations, which are absolutely necessary.
