Probably be in jail? I know fellow shipmates court martialed, stripped of rank, loss of pay, and placed on restriction or barracks confinement for 30+ days just for having a classified document in their personal vehicle. Back in the early 90s they took that shit serious!

If you had to take a classified document anywhere on base, you had to use a military vehicle. If you use a military vehicle, you can only use it for military purposes only, so you couldn't stop for a drink, food, or smokes. So many would just go in their personal vehicle, which is/was unsat/illegal.

I had to use a military vehicle (piece of shit Ford Ranger back in the early 90s with Propane fuel) to deliver my SOP for a mobile gun range & a CQB kill house to...shit I can't remember what that office was called. It was the lowest of classified, and it still couldn't go in my personal vehicle!
