Also canonically akai's entire family is a criminal organization (based on killua's family from HUNTERXHUNTER) and all foxes in the ninjin lore are half yokai
Wow, I was surprised to learn that Akai had such a cool background! If a sequel to Ninjin comes out someday, I'd love to play a story that incorporates that setting!
Also in the series akai has a wood kitsune form, wich is a defense technique, and that basically originated the "akai having poising ivy like powers" headcanon
