Agreed. Let's at least try a year of Elam experiments in the G League... Fouling is such crap. How about 3 qtrs of 15 minutes with 1 pt each... Plus team that wins 2 or more gets another point. The clock reviews would largely end too.

A different gross ending from the weekend was Knicks @ Hornets. Intentional fouls, endless timeouts, and Brunson flopping at any sign of contact. NBA needs the elam ending to clean up end of game entertainment value. We want basketball not intentional fouls.

I don’t see how you can get rid of it as long as teams are allowed to foul indiscriminately when down in the last few minutes - why should the losing team be able to force the winning team to trade 2s for 3s so that they can catch up?

My team won two but almost lost one by employing this strategy. It’s still a risk. Still have to grab the rebound and make the free throws.

Fair, I don’t disagree. Just hard for me to to dislike it bc it’s a strategy that leads to winning.

Both teams executed it well and made FT’s. C’s still had a chance to go for the tie at the end with last ATO, but didn’t work.

Hard to argue against it, but agreed it’s (sorta) less entertaining.

Teams down three need to start incorporating quick hitter plays. Celtics were just bringing the ball up the court like the Cavs were just gonna let them shoot, instead of making quick passes. Last inbound should have been a volleyball tip back to Holiday for the shot

They could tweak the foul rule to FIBA style and force them to make a play on the ball to avoid a flagrant foul. It’s too easy to intentionally foul. It is a very obvious and good tactic that does delay/hurt the game
