How about creating customized pick protections and ability to buy out players.

Pick protections is something we tried, it rarely got used and took up a lot of processing.

Buy out aren't part of determining if a trade is legal or not, so need for that.

If you want a bigger experience, we're hoping to bring back our Manage Tool soon(ish). You can simulate the entire offseason.

I hope you bring pick protections back. Or maybe at least ability to add trade details if you taking a screenshot or save it.

As for buy-outs, it is just a means to maybe express post trade intentions—but not super valuable.
