I was hoping antitrust action would force Meta to divest Instagram. Not much chance of that now given his toadying to the incoming Administration.

I deleted my Threads profile. I like Instagram and I get value from it, but it may have to be jettisoned at some point in the near future.

FB today is just like one of those free papers you got back in the day. Chock full of ads & a couple of local stories pinched from the actual local newspaper. They were crap & so is FB. Did what I did with the free paper, binned it.

It's a shame that WhatsApp is owned by him as it's fairly decent. Instagram is filled with DJs wearing capes playing in Tulum. Facebook is localised gossip and the occasional racist relative with an AI created things with union jacks, dogs, knights and poppies.
