We also need to stop calling it artificial intelligence given that there is no actual intelligence at play.

AI covers a wide range of tools, some which are effective, others which aren't, and all have a lot of variables.

My wife went to cancel her Times subscription the other day which apparently necessitated speaking to them on the phone and she got a rather sweet and persuasive human who talked her into taking a slightly cheaper sub instead of cancelling entirely. So maybe sometimes an A.I. would be preferable?
