It sounds like iD are just throwing out everything good about 2016 and Eternal and attempting to just ape modern open world and action game trends instead, which is not what I play Doom for. I don't want parries or slow paced gameplay or loads of lore in my Doom games.

This alongside with the range of difficulty sliders makes iD seem like they are not confident in themselves with this, too worried about pleasing everyone for no reason (imo). That's it for me.
