I know that some convention social media teams use hootsuite and one of the barriers that they've come across is the fact that hootsuite won't support mastodon. Which, for a service of that caliber? Pretty fuckin embarrassing for them.

I'm surprised they aren't using Buffer, which does support Mastodon. I've used it myself even as an individual artist and it's great for crossposting on social media + has a lot of marketing tools.

I think many of us, especially creators and event coordinators, would be wise to accept that the days of One Big Platform may well be over for awhile. Fans and followers are going to be spread out over a few places, and a little hustling will be very beneficial!
