That's not great economics really.
The other thing for me, we have solar heating which works in tandem with our gas boiler. I doubt that'll work with a heat pump.
My bills also include EV charging in them (I'm not on an EV tariff right now as I can only use Octopus Go which isn't fixed and too short on the low rate period)

There should be a national program which educates people on the benefits of heat pumps and green energy. Very often the lack of knowledge is the obstacle in rolling out such programs!
Let doubters view HP testimonials, or visit local conversions.
