Also, the honest answer is that in 1922, 2 years after we won independence, we joined the USSR and had genocide by starvation 10 years later. We didn't get compensation. Korea never got compensation from Japan, and Barak Obama defended Japan, not knowing the rape camps. West values power, not life.
