A puzzling thing about the Dems’ “enormous corruption is a distraction from kitchen table issues” paradigm is that they’ve been badly damaged by many ginned up pseudoscandals. I think they believe their advisers—they often assume these GOP feints are also distractions!—but, like, look at the record?
