The parents of these criminal kids never get questioned, is it really for teachers to tell kids not to carry knives? You can do the whole closed youth clubs, under funded schools & blame social media etc but 99% of kids are not going to stab anyone.

Maybe intervention first? They are children. Years of austerity has meant schools are pushed to the limits, social services have no funding, Cahms have insane waiting lists, sure start centers are closed. There's no more safety net for young people.

Maybe some kind of early years support, to ensure kids grow up with the support they need at the start of their lives, rather than struggling and ending up having made bad choices. Could be called, I dunno, SureStart?

Two pronged approach; first, stabbings don't generally happen in a vacuum. Schools need to resolve issues quickly and amicably. Second, parents need to promote an approach to peaceful resolutions and attitudes at home.

Even the most draconian regimes in the history of the world with the most barbaric punishments still had crime. You won’t be able to punish your way out of it. No one jails more it’s citizens, and for longer, than the US. More kids in schools get shot there than anyplace outside of a war zone

It's quite simple bring back corporal punishment in schools. It's that SIMPLE.
Spoke to UK supply teacher on Sunday .. he vowed never to go back into a certain school to teach their .. 9yo s .. they were that bad and out of control !

Look at the source of the problem , why are there no longer any youth clubs , extra school activities and guidance , boxing clubs , places to channel their energies and guide them .
