yeah that's part of the reason I moved to bluesky. Twitter is just a really toxic place overall. You can't go anywhere on twitter without seeing some stupid and unneeded drama about something or other.

i know it’s insanely tempting but it’s best just not to give these people the time of day. Just ignore/block and move on. A lesson i wish i adopted sooner during my 10 years on the internet lol
