*for the non-mormons, outer darkness is basically hell except almost no one goes there. there's quibbles about what "knowing christ and denying him" means but in modern times it means you have to be mormon and male to even get close to qualifying, unless jesus shows up in missouri

I've heard that. To the point that it gave me a crisis that made me obsessed with the notion that seeing God was something that was limited only to men. And I have a very detailed scripture chain documenting how false that is, because I needed it.

The onslaught against women in our religion is very real. I'm tired of the men responsible for it pretending like it isn't real, that it never happened, and that our own history and Scripture hasn't condemned them for it.

I'm just one of many who has been hurt by it.

Sometimes I just want to go on a spree of kicking a whole lot of Christian men, of whatever flavor, and yeah I include LDS men even though i grew up Catholic, right square in the balls. Like. Just let me put on my good boots and release me at a multifaith Christian conference.

Yeah. My mom has always been a very ecumenical catholic, and we had mormon family friends she loved, and so she talked to us about this. Where I grew up in Ohio, catholics were more accepted, but I know how it is in a lot of places.

I mean, fuck's sake, I have performed at an LDS ward talent show.
