From what I’ve read etc so far, they are basically work camps/slave labour, personal fiefdoms setting laws, wages, housing prices & can force people from their own homes if they fall within the company’s boundaries, I can see no upside only as usual, monetary gain for some new oligarch 🤷♀️
The value of crude oil is less than a third of the value of the refined products. So Scotland will contribute less to the UK and that will make Scotland look poorer in GERS.
And with the closure of Grangemouth there will be extra costs in transporting petrol to forecourts in Scotland and don't be surprised if you find the cost of petrol ending up higher in Scotland than in England.
