For MLK DAY (1/20) 🤬, our family has planned a day of DVDs, snacks, and board games. No phones. No computers. No news. Certainly no spending.
We will be inverting our flag at noon though, to signal that America is in distress and American citizens are not protected under the Constitution anymore.

DVDs counts as the TV being turned off, as it's not using a signal to connect to viewing. So while I get wanting your family disconnected from this in other ways, we do need to show we're actively boycotting the inaugural coverage by a literal signal connected to something else they can quantify.

WADR we aren't going outside at all on 1/20. I live in the DMV and my son, unfortunately "looks like a Trump supporter". I kept him home the last time Trump was elected for a week and for 4 days after he was inaugurated. I kept him home around 2020 election and inaug too. For his safety.

I really didn’t think of it in that way. South Korea had a far right leader win & the people silently protested doing such things. Enough protested that it caused his suspension (in short).
