YES EXACTLY ugh this is my pet peeve. and no matter how many times and ways I try to explain it to people who’ve only lived low context, they *don’t get it.*

(I also have Many Thoughts about the possibly underlying unexamined ethnocentrism [and possibly even xenophobia] beneath the anti-high-context-communication bias but thaaaat’s another can of worms)
