I also don't really miss it? I'm sorry, I know that's bad for the movie business, but not going to the movies for a long time made me realize I didn't really like going to the movies that much

I have this conversation with my brother all the time. There used to be value in the expense and rigamarole of it all but is it even worthwhile when they're just playing a file off a hard drive, exactly what I'm doing at home?
the part about going to the movies i loved was always the big screen, good sound and my family being there. As soon as that's what i have at home what do i need a crowded room full of strangers for.
Geezer argument, but yeah, when I was in high school there were 3 trailers and maybe 1 or 2 ads, max, and a 10 second theater promo. Now you're in there for 40 minutes of just garbage they want to force you to watch.
at first glance I thought "this is a horrible way to do ordering concessions from your seat" Thinking it was a cash register price readout. But the subtitles thing is a great idea. I wonder if they could somehow put it on the film that can only be seen if you wear special glasses. #myidea
I always think the appeal of theaters is having the shared group experience, and honestly that can be great, but honestly my favorite moments in a theater have been when it's only my partner and I reacting to a great movie on a huge screen.
