Morning Margaret.. I am doing my best to have a nice day, then just read the stupid UK Govt have apparently invited Crooked Don Trump for a second state visit this year but in September.. is the UK that desperate? Shameful if true…I will now try and rekindle my good mood again…
They are behaving badly. But I’ve just read that Macron will visit before Trump. I hope that’s a good sign. Starmer has to decide though. He can’t sit on that particular fence forever.
I have a reservoir of pragmatism&realise politics is the art of the possible.. but sometimes I wish politicians would stop worrying about “optics”&do the clearly obvious right thing.Trump is a crook-nothing good coming from a deal with him.Starmer should recognise this&where the UK’s interest lies.
