randomly remembered the first college PE class I had to take where I showed up so hungover that after opening calisthenics I excused myself to vomit extravagantly in the bathroom and then just never went back

Colleges in NY have a
1.5 year gym requirement. Being SLC most did dance credits. But I learned we could also lift for credit which was awesome. I did do some Latin dance classes. My friend in class/ dance partner was the only guy but we agreed he’d be the one to dance backward on principle.
That DOES take some funding! Athletics were an afterthought at my school, at least while I was there. All you need for a social dance class is a large room, a boombox, and a bunch of bougie nerds.
Like most of my short college career I talked my way out of that class - there was a science requirement and I said I'm not wasting my time this is middle-school level science and to prove it I took all the weekly quizzes during one period so they where just okay with me not showing up
anyway I dropped out of college my 2nd year in order to peruse rich men which was the best career decision of my life, don't get get MFA learn who is lonely and poorly socialized and has a Family Office
For me it was always just "forced sports" where only 10% of the students would ever be athletes.
Why not teach me useful physical skills for the future, like how to exercise gently, or how to not fall and break my hip trying to climb a ladder when I'm 45?
to their credit a lot of it ended up being learning how to stretch or do basic body weight stuff and how you can get off the subway a stop before to get steps in but also I was hungover on 3 hours of sleep being told to run around a gym
A pivotal college memory for me is when I re-dressed all my friends to look older so we could get cocktails downtown without IDs, I went into a salvation army to get coats

I always wanted to play flag football, but never got to, loved floor hockey tho.
Wanted to do yoga and climb a rope too!! My school had yoga 😆 like it was new!!!
Poor school w/ yoga 😆🥰
I spend a lot of time trying to convince them to get out and live a little to get inspiration.
Honestly, if more of them came in hungover I think it would help a bit.
