I love old books. I've been looking at the book of Durrow again. I'm not as good as they are, or like George Bain. But I am starting to get the hang of the whole knot part of things.
Oh my god???? Is it tattoos actual people have had? Sometimes I wonder about getting a Celtic tattoo like the bog mummies and having that link to someone from thousands of years ago
Interesting - tattoos on joints are ancient (see aforementioned bog mummies), and likely had some palliative properties for folks with arthritis. Wonder if that might have contributed to this being part of the pilgrimage.
