Just found it wild to be cool with one, and against the other… it is all Generative AI(sometimes the exact same program too). 😭
I wish it were easier to identify AI “art” on free image sites. It’s taking over there too.
This made me think of album covers from indie bands who do the same. seeing messy / chaotic / naive cover art makes you want to engage with the piece more I feel
Self-publishing defs has no excuse.
Ai can fuck off until the day regular people have the ubi they deserve with the vast abundance of resources we *already* should have available if not for the greed of a tiny % of us.
His story was so hard to get through.
Obviously things get complicated if the hired artist lies or pulls some BS, but a contract is a negotiation. It's a tiny thing to ask for, and there's no reason a good-faith publisher shouldn't agree to it.
