"the stress of the discrimination" includes both psychological stress and material aspects of discrimination. fat people are treated atrociously, lifelong, by people with POWER OVER our literal food, homes, wages, jobs, education, etc.

Instead, it’s the lack of quality care because you’re fat, the stress of the discrimination, and the failure of the medical profession to treat your actual condition that kills you, time and time again.
