I’ve got a theory that I need to chase out a bit more, which is that in the first month of the pandemic people saw a better, kinder world was possible, and that scared the capital/capitol classes enough that they decided to go full-bore dystopia.

The air was cleaner, there was a kind of UBI, we were making every connection we could, people were doing mutual aid…all without government or business micromanaging it.

It was a shit time for so many people and reasons, but there was an equality in us all being vulnerable?
