Nothing brings joy like a babies laughter or seeing their first steps or that surprised look on their face when they discover something new. This is why my avatar is a photo of my grandson adoringly caressing our pups face.
Love how she scooted forward a few times so she could give the child the feeling of success instead of a fall
If we lived in a healthier society, more of us would choose the feeling of love and connection shown in this video over hatred toward others and ego's false feeling of separation
Love seeing this kind of thing. Beautiful unscripted moment caught on camera. There are still good people in this world. Despite what my constant doomscrolling would have me believe.
😭love this so much! Humans can be amazingly loving and caring creatures. Most of us are. Which is why its so hard and stressful to watch cruelty. Thanks for sharing!
Also, imagine a country where your maternity leave policies mean a loving non-family member is not the one who witnesses this important occasion instead of the mother or father?
I love how the care taker waved at the camera to acknowledge the parents. A way of making them feel a little more involved and less sad they missed it in person.
I forgot whether this also applies to first steps, but some sneaky kids train their (word speaking voice) skills in secret, outside of parents eyes/ears, baffling them with near-fluid sentences.
I bet some must have done this in their first steps also....:))
(this one seems remarkably talented...:))
Great childcare workers are truly the calm in a storm of being a working parent. They should be paid as the valuable contributors to society that they are.
Thank you for recognizing the lack of salaries in child care. You’d think with how much people are paying each month those who do the work wouldn’t be struggling financially each month!!!
Yes, the bulk of the money goes to whomever is owns/runs it. It's similar to senior care facilities/convalescent care, the workers don't make much, but those that own them are raking in the money.
They aren't "workers"-they are in a professional, research-informed, credentialed field. But they are paid less than dog walkers. This woman caring for the children every day likely has no benefits and no retirement and no career advancement path.
I was visiting my parents when my oldest son took his first steps. He walked to my father who scooped him up in his arms. My mom and I and my dad cheered and clapped. My dad was teary. I was so glad they got to be part of that moment.
Aw, so sweet. I had some trouble when my son was little . One day care center was not feeding my son. He was too little to tell me. One of the neighbors told me what was going on. They accumulated all the food in the cupboard and put him in a playpen all day. no exercise, no food.

Now wouldn't it be great if this pre-school teacher and others in her profession were paid a living wage?

What has happened to us? Will we ever heal?
Then show someone else.
And so on.
These students love the TikTok and it brings the concepts to life.

Kind of sucks to not be there as a parent for your kid's first steps. Thankfully I was there for my kid's first steps.
She deserves NOTHING LESS.
This care taker is WHO EVERYBODY is searching for-
She’s incredible-
Daycare teachers should be more appreciated. These early years are so important for children's growth.
