I should also remind people that despite being showrunner w his name plastered everywhere, adi shankar isn't the writer of dmc. the main writer/scriptwriter is alex larsen. the show is not being developed only by one person despite the tendency to attribute creative projects to a single individual

I like the show, it resonates with me and I AM excited for season 2, but i have to make it clear that when it comes to politics, I don't expect leftist masterpieces from high budget media. I fully acknowledge they could completely botch the commentary they've set up in season 1

Any “analysis” of the show that doesn’t account for his right wing Hindu nationalist politics, and nepo baby upbringing will be less an analysis and more head-cannoning to assign depth and meaning that isn’t there. Larsen is his protege. It can’t be disentangled
