This was the display in the expo hall.

Also, it was one of the only times I can remember that Apple had a hardware product that they announced and made available for purchase at the same time.(Bought one in San Francisco Apple Store about 20 minutes after the keynote ended...)

Reminds me of in 2003 when they launched Keynote and distributed it right after the keynote to all the attendees.

The iPod shuffle was the first Apple product I bought for myself! I saved up my money and got it, used it till it literally fell apart and the headphone jack stopped working reliably. Last I checked the battery still worked though. XD

Most of the 2nd and 3rd gen iPod shuffles I've seen have dead batteries now, but most of the 1st gen ones still hold a decent charge! They sure don't make em like they used to. :P

I checked, mine has a red battery light. I don't think it's been plugged in in like 3 years. :P
