That sounds like a great way to expand on the element mechanic. It'd be cool if weapons work a little differently depending on the element.
For example, a bow could connect hit targets with lightning or explode in fire. A sword could be much faster with lightning, but more reach with fire.

They will be somewhat similar, with a few key differences. For example, there will only be 4 this time. And with switching elements, you also switch weapons!
