Ok i feel insane for asking this but- any other black folk here ever been told you "sound white" and has that ever like made you feel a certain way? π

Especially sucks when it's your own family telling you that, like....damn okay sorry I guess
Personally i take more from my mom in terms of speaking and mannerisms (and ppl said same shit to her). Ive had strangers say it or like black classmates point it out π it makes me feel crazy and alienated like "damn am i still black??"
