Let's talk about: #cuy a breed of #guineapig usually bred for consumption! Very popular in Peru!
They're usually bigger than our domesticated friends and usually much more aggressive
cuy is also the Peruvian name for #guineapig
I don't eat them but I don't shame cultures that do 💙

They might be an okay pet for an experienced guinea pig owner but even then with their aggressive nature they can bully small ones
aside from that, they're similar to rabbits. Easy to breed, comes in large litters, and people like the taste :)
Bbbiggg chonkey baby… oough…
Pleaseee- I’m generally against breeding but I need a less aggressive version (as long as it doesn’t impact their health)
the biggest guinea pig that's pet friendly is currently the Rex guinea pig!
Also I agree, since too many pigs aren’t as big of an issue as say, cats or dogs which have issues with lots being in shelters, just hard to show a nuanced opinion in such short text haha
Im hoping I can eventually make a difference by building a community where we can rescue pigs and proper ethical breeder!
Here it’s nearly impossible to find them outside of pet shops which…
Mm pet shops. Used to get them from a rescue but it closed.
My current babies were ethically bread!
Sheep and Silica Gel :)
