Seems preferable to my experience with grub, which is regularly deciding to self destruct and requiring a rescue image to repair it before anything will boot again. After the umpteenth time of that, I decided I was really fine with just using WSL for my rare Linux needs.
i kept a usb with just grub for a while and would have usb as top boot priority in the bios, however, windows became too frustrating to use, especially with the space it took up and having to manually install gpu drivers (i cycled between like 3 in a month for testing purposes)
My power once went out during a kernel update and i only had a windows installer on hand at the time. Needless to say despite being installed on a completely different physical drive it wiped grub. Windows got immediately removed when i got arch iso back on the drive to chroot and fix my install
Yup this happened with my box a few weeks ago and I reinstalled Pop!_OS after futzing for an hour. I really hate how windows is such a bully with boot loaders
Aww, man... I'm sorry to hear you've been having issues. I have my Garuda Linux and Windows 11 installed on different drives for this reason, but I understand if that's not an option for everyone. I use GPT for my hard drives and it's been pretty helpful. I haven't had an issue since.
