Fun fact: you have no way to block any app from being ran on the server except to turn all of them with this permission. You can ban the app, but the users will still be able to use it. That's Discord for you.

many scams happened because of it before bots(now called apps) used to impersonate discord and scam people by pishing and stuff

This is honestly something that really annoys me about Discord
They add a new permission, tell no one but then decide to enable it by default
I do not manage big servers but I feel bad for the people that do because depending on the feature this can turn into a huge mess

I need my patreon integration for one discord server that closely intertwines with my professional community.

As a result I'm in every discord server for every patreon I follow. I can't leave any of these servers, it just rejoins.

Sometimes they don't even add a permission. Voice messages had no permission at first, before people started complaining. Forwarded messages still don't have a permission, they're based on Embed links permission...

I often think Discord hates us as community moderators and administrators.
