I get it, I do. Sewell is awesome. I remember talking with a scout after his freshman year about how he could start in the NFL back then. Best tackle in football. I’m still massively in favor of skill guys over OL. Even beyond that, Miami’s tackles have been very good this year when it wasn’t OT6 - ThreadSky

I think the argument they're making is that OL continues to be an issue & Sewell would've given Miami more value to build around. I don't think it's an indictment on Waddle himself. I also don't think it's worth much for fans to 'what if' themselves into a bad day. Waddle is an exceptional player.

Man I so disagree with you. Build the team inside out. Outside in gave us what we have, early season success. When we need a solid line late in the season we get what we have.

Waddle is an exceptional route runner, game-changing speed, he gives a fuck (more important than you might imagine), he strains as a blocker, he can get to the areas of the field the defense specifically tries to take away.

He’s going to be the No. 1 WR soon and for the next decade in Miami IMO.

Agreed on everything, but Waddle is at risk of becoming an injury prone player. He needs to stay on the field and be more reliable. I feel that Miami should part ways with Tyreek Hill and get something meaningful back for him while they can.

He does get nicked a lot, but at least I know if he’s down then he’s actually unable to play (Tyreek is that way, too, tough dudes).

I don’t hold getting rolled up against Waddle. Hes been available all year and that’s a fluke that can happen to any one.

I'm a bit of a casual (despite being a fan for 30+ years) in that I don't get terribly invested in understanding how success is graded for OL. The 'eye test' tells me a lot of it gets a boost by Tua getting the ball out quick. Having said that, I'm self aware enough to know there's more to the story
