What would be the purpose of taking the conversation to discord or telegram? Is it so they can delete the conversation?

Discord and Telegram are kind of easily manipulated and easier to send certain links that can take your Discord and Telegram accounts from you.
Then they can throw away the account with no problem, because they have yours and repeat the cycle.

It's even worse because people often use the same emails for everything. Now that they've gotten your Discord or Telegram account (And telegram uses your phone number too) they can do a lot more damage.

VGen literally has the ability to post the reference images and info. This "guy" clearly wants to be able to get into discord/telegram in order to send sketchy links.

Also the fact that you recently posted comm info shows they're not even looking.

It's usually followed by them sending you a bad check and then claiming they over paid and wanting you to send them some money back. Screwing you out of money and potentially getting you in legal trouble for trying to cash a flase check.

You can just tell the replies are automated so no matter what you reply, the bot would reply the same back.

Yep, standard pretexting scam. Fraudster tries to steer convo to a mefoum they control. It will end with a) malicious link or b) try and get you to send them money

admittedly this is actually something that happens pretty commonly, at least on twitter or FA, but that was mostly because the messaging system on either site was not great.

There's not really a reason to redirect a commission until after it is completed either way though, so i'd agree to avoid it

Best way to confirm I have seen is to look at their page and see all the replies. Nearly every one of them will be them responding by asking if they can do a commission or asking to DM them for a commission. Ive had 2 this morning and didn't even bother responding.
