I just finished yesterday a 30 sec animation loop fanart that nearly took 2 weeks to finish.
And I was like "Just so much work for something that is probably gonna be quickly watched and gone to the next thing...."
Stings a bit but eh...
Any attention it get will just be a happy bonus.
But I do wish we could shift people to perhaps give art more time and experience it slower.
This is a difficult progression we've put on ourselves... Please don't lose patience.
All I ask is for clients to be patient JUST IN CASE something comes up and I can't get it soon.
I feel that same kinda way with what people say sometimes too, especially those old quotes.
1. I make art for myself, enjoy the process, and take as much external validation out as possible so I can just create.
2. Learn to really delve into the soul of people's work and see their intentions. The why is more interesting than the what.
