Based on an old twitter thread where Pupcheng was forced to dress up to go to Gusu with his mom, meeting Bunhuan who was extremely shy and soon becoming friends with him.

Then when it was time to leave they were reluctant to part with only a promise from their moms they'll meet each other again.

Cut to a few weeks later and Bunhuan meets Pupcheng in Yunmeng, he is so happy to see him, they hug but PupCheng forgot to tell his pet doggies not to run to Bunhuan since he's a bunny and easily startled.

But then they do an Bunhuan is squeaking in fear as he runs away towards a pier, accidentally

Falling in, but because he cant swim, he starts to panic even more.

Pupcheng comes to save him by doggy paddling his way over until their moms come to see what happened. Bunhuan is very grateful for Pupcheng and they become closer.

Buppy and Bumny! They are never apart, even at night they share a bed and tell each other stories about the adventures of Buppy and bumny! BunHuan warms up to the puppies that scared him and they all cuddle with each other ❤️

But when they are apart, PupCheng mopes and Bunhuan is thumping his peets angrily at his fufu, he's giving fufu the silent treatment! Up until Fufu promises that he will soon see Pupcheng again

PupCheng is so lonely and BunHuan angry thumps any time he sees fufu to let him know he wants to see his Buppy! The mamas come up with the idea of the puppy and bunny plushies that they each send to the other. They tell their babies to hug the plushy whenever they feel lonely and it works!

Yess 🥺 they love their plushies but it doesn't compare to seeing each other for real. They learn how to write letters to each other just so they could talk, though their hand writing is abyssmal, it was a start and their mamas would help them.
