A lot of these are held on weekdays. I have taken personal leave (vacation) to attend things. I have mixed feelings about it. I would rather take time off work than spend one of my weekend days but OTOH, I think that maybe more would attend if it was on a Saturday.

She has her own podcast & has appeared on several others too, so there’s always that option. But Jon Stewart doesn’t talk much in this episode so maybe he won’t bother you. It would be worth a shot, because I think she did a great job in the amount of time she had.

I lived in the Philippines during Duterte’s mob rule. There are some similarities to what is occurring in the US but I think it’s going to be a combination of Duterte and Marcos Sr where the US will be at. Plus some Putin, Orban and Xi.

I lived in the Philippines during Duterte’s rain of terror. She is incredibly brave especially in a country where killing political opponents or journalists isn’t really news anymore. It happens all the time.
