Good that in spite of intense pressure from Trump & Big Tech the EU is taking steps to enforce its digital rules.

Fines are not an end in themselves but we have to guarantee that Big Tech starts complying.

Much remains to be done - including making Meta respect users' data choices.

Today, we fined Apple €500 million & Meta €200 million for breaching the Digital Markets Act.

Apple restricts developers from steering consumers to offers outside the App store.

Meta doesn't let users choose a service that uses less personal data.

These are the first DMA fines.
