I have just swapped over to heat pump hot water. I have solar panels so it’s costing me nothing to heat 300 litres of water. It’s summer now so @ the moment it uses 2Kw per day the cost is equivalent to 60 cents a day if I was paying.
There are rebates available.

Do lots of research into which system you want & how much you want to spend. It’s important that you get one you are happy with price & warranty wise.
Most systems will only heat the water to 60° Celsius.

and business can claim all costs as business expenses and reduce their tax, individuals can't! We must unite to stop all private business providers from ripping off their primary clients. Pure greed and they don't deserve to be in business!

It’s not, but you are the only people talking about it. Australian news media are complicit in this rort.
Privatising the utilities was supposed to give consumers better prices.
I wonder how many people actually believed that @ the time?

They are network costs for electricity.
Not gas or not representative of actual costs per kWh (electricity) or MJ (gas).
