Even if the government started to tax gas companies what they should be taxed I imagine that would get passed onto the consumer at some point to protect their profit margin.

Repeating (Again 🤦🏻): folks you should focus on the forever climate damage fossil gas is doing rather than whinging about the money we’re missing out on. Money can’t buy back a square centimetre of coral on Ningaloo or a single leaf from a dead Karri forest. Gas needs to stay in the ground.
