As a lesbian and a feminist I’m never going to be the world’s biggest fan of any pope. But Francis was a step forward for the church, and seems to have been a largely kind and decent man. I hope whoever succeeds him is in the same mold.

Pope Francis was a man who loved goodness and peace, a man who supported Palestine without expecting anything in return, always out of humanitarian, not religious, motives. May his soul rest in peace. I hope that his successor will carry a part of what he offered us as Palestinians / For humanity 🫶🏼
He was never like that, but he always supported the independence of our country without fear of Israel’s ridiculous threats to him, and he continued to support us with all the means available. I am not speaking to you in vain, but rather about what I was involved in and saw before my eyes.
I’m also part Palestinian. I can tell you for a fact that by supporting a ceasefire,Pope Francis supported disarming the armed resistance and was a liberal Zionist.
Auditor Si, his encyclical on the environment is a deeply beautiful work (and if you're not a believer, it's easy to swap the prime signifier in your head as you read it)..
Yeah. Wasn’t perfect but did hold yearly meetings with queer members of the church, the youth and the sort along with the Cardinals and actual clergy to get an idea of how the Church needed to move forward.
