For sure! That was me! As of this wk; I’m trying to rebuild and find my ppl and follow other like minded peeps! And so happy and so grateful to hv discovered this app!!!
Yes because they’re genuinely not funny/interesting so being authentic “all over again” seems difficult. Also, the air is diff here. Hot Taki activities haven’t tainted us yet.
Yes. My account was small over there, but being since 2008 & with that # of followers, it felt like a legit account. I gotta question if I'm a bot now.
This is such a great point because I tried to spill, and I still have an account there, but I never fully got into it. SoI can understand why there are some people who are reluctant to keep moving to different platforms.
Definitely! However you’d think that everyone would be open to leaving musky and his degenerates over there and starting a new life over here with fresh air, green hills and blue skies 😆
It was funny in the days right after the election people were saying they lost tens of thousands of followers—me being the helpful person I am informed them they were bots. 😂😂😂
I definitely think there's a contingent of people with that fear. But also, I suspect those same people wouldn't get a large following here because they're stale and most of their current following is too! 🤷🏾♀️
probably so but tbh i want us to stop caring about followers! i feel like the obsession with having a viral moment and getting a blue checkmark is exactly what ruined the vibes on twitter/X. lol
Oh absolutely, especially the ones that lean on elements of controversy or toxicity to sustain their brand.
There's no algorithm, no system for them to game to boost visibility.
They have to start from scratch like everyone else, and build up the hard way.
I've already blocked and muted a ton of twitter refugees. I'm not interested in doom and gloom or hot takes or imaginary miracles being in the works,. none of it. I want to live (semi)blissfully unaware and just write and produce more music that feeds my soul.
Definitely. It lowkey could say a lot though about the strength of their “brand”, if they don’t think they can rebuild on here - even if it takes time.
Absolutely, but the crazy thing is I think that there's a significant amount of bots and unused account on that app. If they purged it like instagram, people would lose thousands anyway.
The biggest reason! It don’t bother me because alot of those people aren’t interested in the people they follow anymore or talk to fr. We’ve grown up. This a chance to start fresh.. the numbers will come.
TBH, I don't want to really follow, who was popular for nothing, over there. Except content creators, and news. Most of the connects weren't genuine, people didn't reply unless they wanted attention or ratio.

I was hesitant because of how much of a flop Spill was.

But the chatty folks are coming.
We will need to strike a balance with relationship ish though

My fav's had 80% locked accounts.
