Every person on U.S. soil is protected by its laws--OR NONE OF US ARE. When you carve out groups without rights, you give the government the power to put anyone/everyone it wants into those groups, without recourse or protection.

I'm going to lose my mind a bit.
It does not actually matter whether the people targeted by Trump were saintly and hyper virtuous, or not. Honestly trying to create the narrative one way or the other is suspicious!
It's ultimately about this: people have rights under the law, & must be protected!
