I had felt really good about supporting & speaking out in favor of Target.
I’ve crossed them OFF my list.
They’re the closest to me and I’d given them my money & time. Screw them! I’ll drive to Costco and show them the love!
Done with these companies that just roll over!
ABSOLUTELY DONE!
Wasn’t it like just a month ago we were all saying fuck Walmart, let’s all shop at target?? Damn! I don’t have an aldis or a Costco close to me so I’m stuck with Kroger and I know they are probably just as bad. 🤬🤬
I know someone else already answered you about Kroger specifically, but if you ever want to look it up, you can usually find it on a company's Careers page.
First they came for the Walmart. Next they came for the Target. Kroger crushed all the small businesses to win this game of Monopoly they trained you so well to play. I hope you remember what those twin towers burned for as you drive off to support the billionaires. It is hard work. 🥰
Smaller, independently owned stores. Otherwise, they have to do what they have to do & pick the least offensive. I realize everyone doesn't have these choices.
Save your money and buy only necessities. You can get them at a blue store that didn’t end DEI. I might pay a little more but that’s what I’m doing. Buying only necessities also screws with the economy.
My first critique of the #boycotttarget movement was that it widened the impact of loss to corporate America. If we promote boycotting Target, it forces many people back to Walmart and Amazon. But starving corporate America by saving every penny possible is a strategy I can support.
We have a family owned grocery store in town. I normally do 50% of my shopping there. I’ll up that to 80%. They don’t sell anything but food so higher percentage would be me wearing pinto bean bags.
For some time they were heading in such a good direction: they had bathroom policies that reinforced that folks can use those restrooms align with gender identity. They stopped labeling toys explicitly girls/boys. They were on the correct side of history then .. this. Obeying in advance.. Cowardice.
I buy most of my “extras” at thrift stores, but they don’t sell toilet paper and other essential products. I won’t shop at Walmart and Costco does not carry a wide variety. I’m keeping my eyes fixed on Amazon and Meta. Otherwise, an economic boycott can not sustain itself.
I deleted my Target account yesterday. I had already deleted the social media accounts, apart from this one. Although it was impossible to delete Metas messaging app, because they have made it they way - 🤬. Frankly, I’m happier with less apps.

And thanks for showing us what the company really stands behind.
Home Depot is next on your list.
Many communities have three choices: Walmart, Target, and Amazon. A boycott of Target pushes people back to the other two.
I do order a few things from Costco, but nothing that needs refrigeration as I don’t even have a Costco in my town.
Also they own all of these stores as well…
