A slight hypocrisy could be buried in here! All my career as a Psychiatrist I was bombarded with biological reductionism. The Dopamine Hypothesis of Schizophrenia, serotonin deficit theory of depression. We ignored complex trauma for decades. Then came Ellis and Beck and the Cognitive revolution.
