Anyone have tips for lighting a computer room? Trying to make things easier on my eyes. Tempted to get a rope light and run it around the ceiling to get a nice even lighting throughout the room. - ThreadSky

Honestly, I've rather enjoyed having lights that are brightness and color adjustable. Either an LED rope or a few corner lamps can do this depending on how you want to set it up, most of my experience with them though has been with standard socket LED bulbs in a regular ceiling sconce or desk lamp.

that's what we have, and I really enjoy it at night. Overhead lights during the day when I'm drawing and such, though.

I personally just have LED's in my room for when it's getting dark outside. I use it for warm colors mostly as well, helps with headaches

i have a soft warm lamp on my desk to provide ambient lighting and it contrasts well with the cool blues of my monitor

Same! But I need some more light in here. My ceiling lamp is too much (and poorly positioned). I've been considering running a rope light around the room for some all over coverage.
