Who suffers? Anyone trying to convince people that the anti-Trump crowd wouldn't give special treatment to their family members after they admit guilt and are later found guilty by a jury of their peers. And those millions of MAGA supporters got a cudgel to beat anyone wanting to prosecute Trump

If the people standing against Trump are already admiting defeat in trying to win through democratic means, what does that leave us? Are we left with civil war? If convincing people to vote for democracy has failed, what are you proposing we do?

Having to take all the hits with none of the rewards. The President has the power to pardon. It’s not an abuse of power to pardon his son. I’m not going to worry about optics given what we are about to go through.
