i've lived 5 minutes from Gettysburg and 15 from Antietam.
my 2x great grandfather Roscoe B Kidder, 9th Regiment, New Hampshire

among others, the 9th was part of the following battles:

Antietam
Fredericksburg
Vicksburg
Wilderness
Cold Harbor
Petersburg

Appomattox

We have a living history museum in our area (I worked there once) and a few re-enactors who don't even work there, and so we get scenes similar around here, too--although usually the war ones are more Revolutionary.
